"My most memorable New Years!
Ok so yes it is one that I can actually remember! (Cast your minds back to news years 99, where a little bug on tv was busy reminding us to stock up on food, water and candles, just in case the world was going to somehow come to a stand still and chaos and anarchy break loose!). In light of this scaremongering, a group of friends and I decided that if everything was going to stop working or turn to chaos,or the world was going to end, we were going to spend it on the top of a mountain,where the only thing we had to worry about was if we had enough wine to get us through the night. So, after spending an awesome night full of good food, good wine and awesome music, we drove/walked/stumbled to the top of a mountain range near Wanaka, lay out all of our sleeping bags/pillows/alcohol and food and watched the sun gloriously rise into the new millennium. A truly unforgettable night! (And you will be happy to know that we did not run out of wine, and....thankfully, the world did not end!!!!)"
