NZ at Frankfurt - Showcasing Kiwi Literature
This year New Zealand will be in the international literary spotlight as Guest of Honour at the 2012 Frankfurt Book Fair.
In this role New Zealand will enjoy an increased profile and significant media exposure throughout Germany. We have a year-long opportunity to take centre stage through a series of high-profile events, exhibitions and shows.
Being Guest of Honour has enormous significance. Across the world we’re known for our beautiful landscape, our agricultural exports and our film production, and now in 2012 Germans will experience a sense of our people and our country; our literature, heritage, arts and culture.
This is also an opportunity for us at home to explore New Zealand literature and our own diverse culture. Throughout 2012, these events offer you the chance to explore New Zealand’s distinctive literature and its connections with the rest of the world.
