Goodshirt Announce Auckland Show, Release New Video
Paddington Live and Hark Music are proud to announce Goodshirt with special guests The Craig Terris Group and The Bads on the 8th of December at Paddington Live in Parnell. Fresh from releasing their Skinny Mirror EP and playing a bunch of shows throughout New Zealand earlier this year, including support slots for Hall & Oates and Icehouse, the #1 Sophie Hit Makers are squeezing in a special one off Auckland show to celebrate the release of their latest single Out Of Our League.
‘Skinny Mirror’ is the first new music from the band since 2004’s ‘Fiji Baby’. Recorded over summer while the band found their feet again with their first live shows in 6 years, the 5 track EP is available (along with the band’s back catalogue for the first time in 2 years).
The video for ‘Out Of Our League’, released in mid-October was created by singer Rodney Fisher and production company Augusto. Rodney has also played solo as support for Mumford & Sons recent sold out New Zealand tour.
Goodshirt are brothers Rodney and Murray Fisher, Gareth Thomas, and Mike Beehre. Their first album, Good, was released in 2001 and featured the number one single Sophie, which won single of the year at the 2003 NZ Music Awards. Good spent 7 months in the Top 50 charts, selling more than 25,000 copies. Goodshirt's second album, Fiji Baby, was released in 2004. The title track, Fiji Baby, reached number one in the NZ airplay charts and was nominated for an Apra Silver Scroll in 2004.
