Trouble Andrews and The Electric Confectionaires will perform alongside Dizzee Rascal and Scribe on the sold out MTV Mile High Gig 2008.

Music lovers snapped up every saleable ticket in under two weeks to ensure their seat on the highly coveted flight from Auckland to Sydney to attend the MTV Australia Awards 2008. The event has also received global recognition with the President of MTV Networks International, Bill Roedy and Managing Director of MTV Australia, Dave Sibley scheduled to be on the flight.

Trouble (aka Trevor) Andrews will perform in-flight before going on to perform at the MTV Australia Awards VIP after-party. Trouble is one of the top-ranking professional snowboarders worldwide, sponsored by brands such as Burton, Gravis, Oakley and Analog. He holds numerous national titles and World Cup victories and has had featured in many of the industry’s biggest magazines and video productions. Trevor’s debut album ‘Trouble Andrew’ is a collaboration with renowned New York-based production team Shitake Monkey. The sound is a blend of synth/programmed beats with a punk rock influence.

Haling from the north shore of Auckland, the Electric Confectionaires are arguably one of New Zealand’s most exciting up and coming kiwi bands.  Made up of songwriter Jaisi Sheehan (guitar/vocals), Hamish Bode (bass), Haddon Smith (keyboards/trumpet/guitar/harmonica), and Rob Fenton (drums) their incredible raw passion will get the MTV Mile High Gig VIP pre-flight gate party hopping!

“It’s a dream come true to have such an incredible local and international line-up performing on the MTV Mile High Gig,” Say Pip Jamieson, MTV Marketing Manager. “Last year’s event was awesome but this year it will be off the hook! All the talent is frothing to be involved; a live performance at 37,000 feet isn’t your average gig!”
