The Rocket Man Is Back!
Get ready to Crocodile Rock because Elton John is back and is going to blow your socks off with his show!
It's one year exactly since he performed in the capital Wellington - and it appears he's slowly moving north up New Zealand to New Plymouth.
Without doubt, every concert that Elton John has performed has been a show stopper - despite many years on the circuit, he always gives 110 percent and leaves every fan more than satisfied at the end of the night.
And what a perfect venue for it in New Plymouth as well . . .
Sir Elton is back for a one-show only at New Plymouth's TSB Bowl of Brooklands. Elton continues to be acclaimed as one of the world's greatest living pop artists with a loyal audience across the globe.
Along with his signature piano, experience the brilliance of the Piano Man as he revisits his signature classics with sprinklings from his recent albums. With its truly unique setting, The Bowl will offer an intimate, electric atmosphere for what will be a memorable and magical evening.
A former student of the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, the man born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947 left school and immediately began his path in the music industry. His first band, Bluesology, was formed in 1961. He would later take his stage name from the Bluesology saxophonist Elton Dean and their charismatic frontman, Long John Baldry.
Elton John was introduced to Bernie Taupin in 1967 by Ray Williams at Liberty Records. Amazingly, their first compositions were conducted by mail. In 1968 they became staff songwriters for Dick James' DJM label, farming out music to budding pop stars.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience one of the world's greatest pop legends, live for this only New Zealand performance. He'll be touring his recent Rocket Man: The Definitive Hits album so that should mean you'll enjoy every minute of the performance.
Opening for Elton is the Explosive and Dynamic STRIKE Percussion.
