Optimus Gryme is referred to by many as the pioneer for New Zealand dubstep after releasing Aotearoa's first ever dubstep 12inch, first dubstep solo EP and NZ's first ever dubstep album, all on his own label Optimus Gryme Recordings.

2009 was a huge year for Gryme. As well as selling out shows all over the country he also toured Oz last year with one of New Zealand's leading musicians Tiki Taane.

With constant releases on his own label and collaborations with some of the biggest producers in the world, Optimus Gryme is definitely a name that you'll be seeing a lot of in the near future.
