A sister duo from Croatia, who have spent half of their life based in New Zealand, where they have been involved with music; production music and DJing.

Grew up listening to a wide array of music from Macchu Pitchu of the Andes, Gypsy Kings and Ladysmith Black Mambazo to The Beatles, Talking Heads and Rolling Stones. Gloria Gaynor to Larry Levan as well as funk and hip hop icons DJ Kool Herc, Grandmaster Flash and Bambaataa.

Their eclectic, fun sets, vast knowledge in music encompassing cross-cultural style, and upfront fresh mixing style have made them become some of the most in-demand young DJs. Having a slightly different music taste from one another, put together they create a unique blend of music to get the dancefloor pumping.

They have produced music and had releases and other musical ventures, for EMI NZ/Australia, Universal NZ, Ministry of Sound, Triple J, Malibu Rum, Pomp&Clout, Rcrdlbl, Mad Decent, Sweat It Out, Get Down Let's Mix & Neat.

They have created music soundtracks and playlists for fashion shows, videos for the likes of Karen Walker, Taylor Boutique, Showroom 22, NZ Fashion Week, The NZ Fashion Festival, Audi, Zoe & Morgan, Maudella, Starship Kids as well involvement in representing top line brands such as Gucci, Nike, Vans, Dr Martens, Coop and Ruby Boutique.

Their latest single 'Turn Me Out' with P Money was featured on Mexico's top dance compilation 'VTMNA 03' alongside David Guetta, Avicii, Caspa, Nervo. As well as a premium feature on VEVO, MTV and NME.

Recently they have had international interest and toured overseas - playing in the UK, Europe, North America, Canada and Hong Kong; which included events such as Creamfields UK and Cream at Amnesia Ibiza supporting acts such as Deadmau5, Laidback Luke, Eric Prydz, Ms Dynamite, Annie Mac, DJ Zinc; Avalon in Hollywood LA supporting Major Lazer & Wolfgang Gartner; Mad Decent label party, Steve Aoki's Dim Mak at Cinespace, Volar HK.

A few years back they were announced the winners of a prestigious global DJ competition initiated by some of the biggest players in the industry: Beatport, Pioneer, DJ Mag. Officially the biggest global online DJ talent search to date. Judges included the head of music download site Beatport, editor of DJ Mag, Marketing manager of Pioneer DJ, Ultra Record's David Waxman, Deadmau5's manager Dean Wilson and DJ/Producer Sebastian Ingrosso - who named the girls the ultimate 'Next Generation DJs.'
They played at the annual Miami Winter Music Conference for parties such as DJ Mag, Beatport Beach Party, Ultra Records Industry Party, Set Nightclub where they played alongside acts such as M.A.N.D.Y, Sharam, D.Ramirez, Dennis Ferrer, Steve Lawler, Macy Gray, Swedish House Mafia, Pete Tong, Afrojack, Chris Lake, Riva Starr, DJ Craze, Diplo, Joris Voorn, DJ Sneak.

Back home in New Zealand MayaVanya have been booked to play at every major club, party and festival to date, Big Day Out, Rhythm N' Vines, Splore, Homegrown, Summadayze, DeepHardNFunky, Air NZ Fashion Week, The New Zealand Music Month, Ministry of Sound, Highlife, Our:House, Remix Magazine Monthly. They've held residencies at New Zealand’s top spots Cassette 9, 1885, Britomart Country Club. And across the ditch in Australia played at New Guernica, Revolver, Tramp Bar, Eurotrash, Brown Alley, World Bar Sydney, Monastery, Electric Playground Brisbane + Elsewhere and NevaLand Gold Coast.

Earlier in their career they were known through their involvement for running successful club nights around Auckland; their own monthly art and music based parties; as well as helping launch Cassette 9's Sick Disco Saturday nights (in charge of bringing over acts from labels such as Mad Decent, Dubsided, Made to Play, Rinse, Numbers, Man Recordings, Spektrum, Brick Bandits, South Rakkas Crew, Nightslugs, Top Billing, Ghetto Division and many more).
