The Summer Shakespeare Tauranga Trust presents 'The Tempest' an outdoor performance of one of Shakespeare’s favourite plays at the Te Puna quarry's most magical spot, the amphitheatre!

On a strange and desolate Isle, there dwells the banished Prospero and daughter Miranda, subduing the native spirits and creatures to be their servants, Prospero plots a return to former glory. The stars align and Prospero’s adversaries are bought to justice on the island, tormented by strange beings and music they repent their wrongs and reinstate Prospero as the rightful Duke.

Being an outdoor event, we are subject to the weather so please bring a warm jacket and a comfortable cushion, terrace seating is available so NO CHAIRS PLEASE!
