The New Variants! Mangaweka

Following on from their highly popular appearance in early January, The New Variants! are back at Awastone Riverside Haven again, by overwhelming public demand!

Playing an eclectic mix of mainly cover songs, the New Variants! have a huge selection of tunes to please and pleasure all ears. From the 50's right up to Today, with quiet duets, popular dance numbers, four-voice harmonies, to out and out rollicking & rowdy hard rocking tracks!

The New Variants! core band comprises of long-time 'Taihape Musicians Club' members Fred & Cyn Hammer who have played in many musical line-ups over the years, entertaining crowds in and around the Northern Rangitikei area and beyond! ; Along with bubbling musician Richie Aslett, who appeared at the final of the latest New Zealand's Got Talent and was also seen on both the last NZ X-Factor and more recent Popstars TV series; Adding to this is 'Rangatua Rocker' Mike Bly, who has played his way up and down the North Island, twanging his rhythm and lead Guitar to many a wild and crazy crowd! This gig also showcases the budding talents of guest musician Joe Kennedy, playing his saxy saxophone on many of the bands classic numbers!
