Rusty Player Orchestra

Enjoy the camaraderie of informal music making in New Zealand's most relaxed orchestra, The Rusty Player Orchestra.

All welcome, no pressure to be perfect, just come and give it a go! Our Rusty Player Orchestra is the perfect chance to pick up your instrument again in a fun, supportive environment - no pressure to play well, just get stuck in and enjoy playing again.

Rusty Symphony is our first event for the year and will be for a feast of classical music, fun and fellowship on the Gallagher Academy’s Concert Chamber stage. Repertoire includes Sibelius’ rousing 2nd Symphony, a magical journey On the Steppes of Central Asia by Borodin and for those opera lovers Tia Katipō will join us again to sing the moving aria ‘One Fine Day’ from Madam Butterfly by Puccini.

To register go to www.orchestras.org.nz or email support@orchestras.org.nz.

Restrictions – we welcome adults of all ages and stages, from beginner to intermediate.
