The Pop-up Globe Shakespeare Company is delighted to return with its new production of Romeo & Juliet.

This isn’t dusty old Shakespeare – this is alive, like a party.

Bawdy, bloodthirsty & beautiful, welcome to Romeo & Juliet, Pop-up Globe style. We’ve missed you!

And this time, it’s luxe! Enjoy all you know and love from Pop-up Globe - one stage surrounded by audience members on three sides; a beautiful Jacobean set and costumes; music, fights and dance; beauty, bawdiness and smut; the lights on so everyone shares the same space, the same light; a cast some of whom you know and love, and some we can’t wait to introduce you to; and some of the most famous words ever written - this time with the luxury of a roof, comfy seats and air con!

Tickets start from $20 plus fees. There are only 7 performances of Romeo & Juliet.

This season also includes Pop-up Globe’s new production of Twelfth Night which recently sold out most of its run at Auckland’s Q Theatre. We recommend booking quickly. Earlybird prices end Sunday 31 December.

Come with us. The game’s afoot…

The season
In February at SkyCity Theatre in Auckland the Pop-up Globe Shakespeare Company will present Romeo & Juliet and Twelfth Night. The season is 10-25 February. See one or see them both before the season closes.

Tickets start from $20, plus applicable fees & charges, for seats on stage, up close & personal with the actors.

Twelfth Night
This show sold out most of its recent season at Q Theatre. Feedback from our socials included –
“The best rendition of Twelfth Night I have ever seen!”.
“Amazing production. We laughed and laughed!!!”
“Amazing first night – so glad you are back!”

SkyCity
Our hosts at SkyCity have been generous in their support. Whether you’re traveling from across town or from across the country, we recommend enjoying the SkyCity precinct when you’re here. Pop-up Globe’s comeback has begun

We have been humbled by the overwhelming support we have received since announcing Pop-up Globe’s comeback. Thank you!

When Shakespeare’s company couldn’t perform at the Globe due to plague in London, they went on the road and delighting audiences in existing venues until they could return to their London home. This was so successful they made performances in indoor venues a part of their business.

We are aiming to do the same. This is a big goal. To achieve it, we’re on a mission to delight every single member of our audience every time we get to perform.

This season has been made possible by presenting sponsor, law firm Anthony Harper; our hosts at SkyCity; platinum sponsors Lumo Digital and Eventfinda; and TBK Capital. We’ve been working with all these organisations for a long time and are grateful for their support.
