Join Marlborough District Brass Band before they head off to Adelaide to take on the Aussies in the Australian National Brass Band Championships.
Their set test piece is a brand new composition by the superb French composer Thierry Deleruyelle called KEYSTONE. It is an awesome piece of music and will certainly test the ‘B’ Grade bands. We believe this concert will be the first ever Brass Band performance of Keystone in New Zealand.
Unfortunately contest rules prevent us from releasing the name of our own choice and sacred item pieces on social media but we can say that our own choice is a very descriptive work and will create images in your mind as you listen to it. Our sacred item is a well known piece which has been especially arranged for us by our Musical Director Robin Randall.
“Off to Oz” is the Band’s final fund-raising event to assist finance their Aussie campaign, and will be proudly supported by items from our friends at the Marlborough Academy of Dance.
This is a “not-to-be-missed” musical and dance event as our own Marlborough District Brass put their best foot forward and share their Australian Championship performances with their beloved home audience.
