Explore Your Coast Wellington - Day 3

Explore Your Coast is to raise awareness of our precious marine environment, and encourage greater engagement through education and recreation.

Explore Your Coast founder Dr. Nicole Miller has an ambitious goal to scuba dive and underwater video 70km of Wellington's coastline for the first time, over 3 weekends and Waitangi Day from 27 January to 11 February.

Community groups and public are invited to join Nicole on this journey and participate in various activities along the way.

Weekend Two

DAY 3 Saturday 3 February
7am to 6pm

Featuring the kelp forests of the Miramar Peninsula from Breaker Bay to Point Halswell! Our scuba divers continue documenting 70km of Wellington’s Blue Belt, local ocean swimmers will take a dip Saturday early morning, Dive HQ Wellington scuba divers will explore dive sites along the peninsula and the Island Bay Dune Care Group is hosting an event in Island Bay Saturday morning.

12.30-1.30pm we'll have a kina cooking demonstration at Scorching Bay.
