On the 22nd, the captivating Henry Meng returns to perform for the Friends! Henry is a pianist and composer currently studying at the University of Auckland.
As a soloist, he has performed with the Auckland Philharmonia and Christchurch Symphony Orchestra; with the latter, he won second in the 2023 National Concerto Competition.
Henry is once again a Haydn Staples Scholar receiving the scholarship for the 3rd year in a row. He receives musical guidance from Rae de Lisle and Stephen De Pledge.
Henry will also be interviewed by Jackie Wilkinson to tell us about all his performance and composition prizes and future musical plans.
A light lunch will be provided.
