Ms Sandy Mill is one of Aotearoa’s finest Vocalist’s; A Songwriter, collaborator, producer, vinyl selector/DJ, radio host, mentor & Ngati Porou Soul Sister. With bragging rights in collaboration with some of our legends such as Pitch Black, Epsilon Blue, Subware, Dick Johnson, Neil Finn, Sean Donnelly (SJD), Hollie Smith & Don McGlashan; Plus UK dynamo’s The Basement Jaxx, Placebo, Boy George, Notenshun & Liquid People to name a few. You’ll find her behind decks on the regular, sharing her eclectic music collection. Splore, AUM, Brazen, Shipwrecked & Abracadabra have sampled her selector skills, and if you’re lucky - she may plug her microphone in and sing some of her own tunes…

This Friday's guest is Brett Bronze, rocking DJ, master promoter, all round nice guy and one of Auckland’s favourite sons. Hugely inspired by Greg Churchill and Angela Fisken, he learned from their sets on the radio and CD and subsequently collected a lot of similar music. A master of slick, dirty and well constructed beats, Brett Bronze dons not only his extremely noteworthy DJ hat, but that of one of Auckland's most successful and well liked promoters. Brett put his first official party on in 2008 at Auckland’s Space bar, where he first made a name for himself. From there he has gone from strength to strength. Pivotal in the success of Collude, La Terraza and Sonorous, over the years Brett has helped bring through some of the most recognizable names in worldwide house and techno. An integral member of Funkhutt Radio, Brett is still pushing musical boundaries and forging firm friendships, all for the betterment of Auckland’s vibrant house and techno scene. Miss Eclectic SHARKRA, melodic but nature, is on a mission to bend and blend musical boundaries.

Sharkra’s driving force behind becoming a DJ was the quest to create peace in the chaos behind her ears. Determination drives her to be genre defying... It is this determination that made her seek out the knowledge required to spin some magic; and three days before her first gig, cemented her skills in place.
She was ready.

The Dance-floors at Ignition Festival 2019 seemed to think so. From this connection to the music, her fuse was lit and it was down the rabbit hole she went. Ticking off dreams one by one, Sharkra has been fortunate enough to play some of Aotearoa’s top festivals, including Splore, AUM, Dimension and Shipwrecked. She’s also played at events throughout Australia, Vietnam, Thailand and South America. Joining one of the worlds best psychedelic record labels, DoubSquare Records, based in the UK, in late 2022. She takes immense joy in the opportunities, as well as meeting all the unique souls among her travels. She uses every new meeting as a life lesson and takes every opportunity to learn how those in our industry conduct themselves and how these likeminded humans do their thing. Sharkra doesn’t just play music, she influences peoples perspective on genres. She helps the resistant few, who dislike particular genres, fall in love on the dance floor. She shares pulsating melodies to the masses and converts the non-believers. Let your own judgement come from witnessing her all inclusive and earthshaking music. Sharkra’s sound is big, eclectic and her soul pours through the speakers. She has made herself a force to be reckoned with behind the decks; while also helping to create the dancefloors that are shaping Aotearoa’s golden era of electronica.
