A family friendly outdoor event showcasing work by some of NZ’s favourite sculptors and mid-career and emerging artists too. All in a stunning native bush setting, just 20 mins' drive from Christchurch's CBD.

Around 100 artworks for sale, including indoor and outdoor pieces, on both a small and large scale. Visitors will also enjoy the permanent collection featuring more than 30 works by some of the stalwarts of NZ sculpture, including Graham Bennett, Bing Dawe, Neil Dawson, Andrew Drummond and Marté Szirmay.

Our artists work in a variety of media, including local stone, iron, steel, bronze, glass, ceramic, flax, wood, and sound.

This event over the first three weekends in March attracts a range of people, from art lovers and avid collectors, to seasoned gardeners and dog walkers, and from botanists and ecologists to lifestyle block owners looking for inspiration.

Gate sales: $20 pp and free to 16-years-and-under. Cash only, no eftpos, sorry.
Cuppa Joe coffee vendor onsite.

If you can't make it during the weekend, get in touch to make an appointment to visit during the week.

Can I bring a picnic?
Yes, you're welcome to during exhibition hours. Please take your rubbish with you.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes, well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome. Please take their poop with you though as we're a minimal waste event and it's not fun separating the coffee cups to be recycled from the poop bags.

What's the weather like?
TSG is in a sheltered valley. When it's grey and drizzling in town it's usually lovely at TSG. If you've any concerns about the weather, or if there's heavy rain, call us on 03 329 6662 or 027 325 2000 to check the gates are open.

Is it accessible?
Yes, the Garden is wheelchair and pram friendly. The terrain is mostly flat and there are a number of paths you can take. Parking is in an adjacent paddock and it's a 2–4 min walk up a private drive to the Sculpture Garden.
