Whakatāne Seed Swap

This informal swap is a celebration of the abundance of our region!
Come along to swap and share your garden gold with your local community growers!

Whether you are a gardener with seeds to swap, need seeds for your up-and-coming gardening projects or want to learn about seed saving this event is for you.

Everybody has something to trade; bring along things to swap (seeds, tubers, cuttings, seedlings), or spare envelopes for taking seeds hom, or come along a little earlier to help set up.

5pm
Doors open.
- People with seeds, tubers, seedlings or cuttings place these on tables.
- Everyone browses selection and finds out about plants.

5.30pm
- Trading is opened and participants take seeds, tubers, seedlings or cuttings they will be able to grow.

5.45pm
- Traders take untraded produce home.

6pm
- Pack up and clean up.
