Join Waiheke Collective for its inaugural Conservation Week Film Festival.
A captivating showcase of thought-provoking and impactful films dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues across four themes, Kai, Moana, Wildlife and Waterways.
Each screening will be hosted by a different environmental group from Waiheke Island - Te Korowai o Waiheke, Waiheke Marine Project, Waiheke Resources Trust and Kai Waiheke.
Moana - Hosted by Waiheke Marine Project, screening Whetū Mārama by Toby Mills and Aileen O'Sullivan, and its own short films.
Kai - Hosted by Kai Waiheke, screening Together We Grow and Hua Parakore: Living Indigenous Food Sovereignty by Happen Films
Wildlife - Hosted by Te Korowai o Waiheke, screening Fight for the Wild by Fisheye Films.
Waterways - Hosted by Waiheke Resources Trust, screening River by Jennifer Peedom.
In addition to the films, each screening will host interactive discussions with environmental experts from Waiheke Island. These sessions will provide a platform for meaningful conversations, allowing attendees to delve deeper into the issues raised in the films and exchange ideas.
