Then and Now - Turangi Artworks

Art and craft makers from the Turangi Artworks group present a collection of their latest works. Including Fibre art, glass, ceramics, mixed media and paintings

Turangi Artworks Incorporated are excited to be exhibiting at Taupō Museum.

‘Artworks’ currently has 47 fully subscribed members and numbers are on the increase.
We have 3 very established departments that include Fibre Artists, (Embroidery, Quilting, Spinning and Weaving, Knitting and Crochet, Harakeke, and Mix Media. Painters and Potters.
We have a less established Glass department which we would like to expand, and a Printmaking department under establishment.

The exhibition title, THEN and NOW has given the artists scope to create. This includes things like up-cycling and taking an historical piece and interrupting it in a modern way.

Taupō Museum is open 7 days from 10am to 4:30pm and entry is free to Taupō District residents with proof of address. Children 0 – 18 Free, Seniors 60+ and Students $3, Adults $5
