SYNTHONY IN THE DOMAIN – RAIN DATE ACTIVATED
Dear SYNTHONY Fans,
We write to advise that SYNTHONY in THE DOMAIN is officially moving one day out to the previously advertised rain date of Sunday 2nd April 2023.
The weather forecast for Saturday is poor and potentially unsafe, whilst Sunday's forecast suggests drier and safer conditions.
Earlier today the following formal written advice was provided by the New Zealand Met Service:
Heavy rain is expected to spread into central Auckland from late Saturday afternoon.
There are existing thunderstorms embedded in this rain band bringing a risk of localised downpours.
The forecast rain rates within the downpours are 25-40mm per hour.
The Met Service also advises that they are considering issuing a ‘Severe Thunderstorm Watch’ on Saturday morning, which could render the event unsafe.

Therefore, in the interest of public comfort and safety, SYNTHONY will now take place on Sunday April 2nd, 2023, when drier and more pleasant weather is forecast.

All tickets remain valid and are automatically transferred to Sunday April 2nd, and event timings remain unchanged with gates opening at 2pm.
We thank you for your support and understanding in this matter and look forward to dancing with you on Sunday 2nd April.

For one day only, Pukekawa will transform into a boutique-style music festival, immersing you in a breath-taking fusion of electronic dance music, live orchestra, DJ’s, internationally acclaimed performers, and spectacular visuals.

Without a doubt it’s biggest production yet, SYNTHONY IN THE DOMAIN brings together the grandeur of the AUCKLAND PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA, with acclaimed conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, and features a star-studded line-up of guest vocalists including ILAN KIDRON (The Potbelleez), SAVAGE, ELLA MONNERY, JEREMY REDMORE and BELLA KALOLO. With many more still to be announced, Synthony fans are in for a music event like no other.

Debuting a brand new SYNTHONY set list curated by DJ Dick Johnson, hosted by Aroha and with musical arrangements by renowned composer Ryan Youens, New Zealand’s favourite orchestral/EDM hybrid event returns to celebrate thirty years of the greatest global dance anthems.

With a vast selection of talented DJ’s and other epic live acts performing across two stages still to be announced, the tunes will always reign supreme throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The first of many acts to be announced alongside of SYNTHONY, is chart-topping Kiwi dance-duo SACHI, with more big announcements still to come!

Commencing at sunset, the first half of the SYNTHONY set will warm you up for a night of musical delight with an array of fan-favourite classics and freshly curated tracks alike.

The second half of the SYNTHONY set will deliver the biggest electronic dance ‘bangers’ of all time, reimagined and under the stars, treating fans to a raft of highly anticipated brand-new hits, with special surprise guest performers.

Set in the expansive, outdoor, natural amphitheatre environment of Pukekawa/Auckland Domain, fans can relax under the stars in our General Admission Area (All Ages), or choose to dance on the grass in our Premium Area (18+).
