We invite you to our first Play On play reading of the year! Play On is a play reading series of New Zealand work. It's unrehearsed, unpredictable and unmissable.
Bring your blankets and picnics and enjoy a (hopefully!) fine Saturday evening outdoors. If the weather is bad, the reading will take place inside at The Arts Village.
Free admission!
About the play: A rich-lister businessman announces he’s got an extraordinary plan for the rest of his life and philanthropic legacy - he’s going to sell everything and live modestly in a caravan. But his family are appalled and don’t share his new values at all. Is his new-found decency and idealism a passing fancy or has he finally found his essential nature?
Read by Ron Cane, Greg Davis, Wendy Pembleton, Katie Walker and Simone Walker.
Presented by arrangement with Playmarket NZ. The playwright thanks Auckland Theatre Company for their early and invaluable support for this script.
Our thanks to Rotorua Trust for funding support.
