Originally written as a novel by Joan Lindsay in the late 1960’s, it was adapted to feature film in 1976 and a TV series in 2018. This stage adaptation was crafted in 2016.
This is a classic and finely crafted horror, with the story now recognised as one of the finest Australian novels ever written. Set in the 1900’s, it tells the story of a group of female boarding school students who disappear in mysterious circumstances on a Valentine’s Day picnic at Hanging Rock in Victoria, Australia. Fact or fiction? You decide.
This show has no interval, with a run time of approximately 90 minutes. The bar will be open pre and post performance, with some performances featuring a Q&A session featuring the cast and production team.
