The Otago Peninsula Artists - OpenArts Inc present their Annual Spring Exhibition "Now - That's - Different" from Friday Oct 13th - to Labour Monday Oct 23rd in the MacAndrew Bay Venue Centre Greenacres Street - Macandrew Bay Dunedin. The Now that's Different Exhibition each Spring has the "Challenge section' - artists are set a theme - they don't HAVE to enter this part BUT it is set to extend the minds the talents of the Artist - this year the theme is "Stripped Bare'! What can our talented people do with this one? Come out and see! They will also be exhibiting their other works as well - covering a wide range or artistic genre - from Oils and Acrylics - Sketching - Photography - Jewellery - Collage - Wood carving and turning - fabric art - pottery ceramics and of course more!
This is OpenArts fourth Spring show (so of course is now an Annual event) and it is growing in huge popularity with the artists, and the public who visit.
Also incorporated in the Exhibition are works from the three Local Peninsula schools who will be working on slightly different themes - the Coast - the Wild Life - the Harbour and shoreline - the Environment. These are out future artists and contribute to our Society and the peninsula community. Come out and spend some time on the amazing Otago Peninsula and enjoy the Art and the other features and places of interest of this beautiful part of our region. Open 10am to 4pm Daily. Free entry - Eftpos available.
