Anamua Fou is a Siva Samoa Dance group that focuses on implementing traditional and contemporary aspects of Siva Samoa creating pieces that reflect the diverse influences that were prominent in the past and which continue to be relevant today.

Established in 2016, Founded by Director Masi Smith. Anamua Fou began with a handful of members which over the years expanded to 11, with intentions of developing their passion and love for Siva Samoa as established performers and storytellers of the Pacific through performance.

NEEDLE & THREAD

Needle and thread is a puzzle that only you can depict, this piece speaks about empty spaces between you and words. Needle and thread counsels your mind to consider the empty void we continue to bury so music is faint to the ear. needle and thread is a developing piece that is told through the lens of a kid’s imagination.

Luchiano is an experienced performer who has immersed herself in the world of performing arts. She has a rich background in various forms of artistic expression, including Kapa Haka with Ngā Uri o Whiti Te Rā and captivating audiences at Te Matatini.

Luchiano recently completed her studies at Whitireia Performing Arts, earning a bachelor's degree in Creativity. Her talent has been showcased in notable productions such as Arawhata (Fringe festival), Le Malaga showcase, The deception of my reflection, and she has also contributed to an exhibition called If the shoe fits.
