New Years Eve Picton

New Zealand sees the dawn of a New Year before anybody else in the world, as a nation we’re quite literally getting the party started! Pure Events Marlborough are delighted to be bringing back Marlborough's New Years Eve Celebration to the Picton Foreshore on sunday 31st December.

We all know Marlborough is brilliant every day, but come New Year’s Eve it’s also going to ignite at night with a huge party for the community and visitors to our region! Everybody’s name is on the guest list!

On the main stage we have an awesome Kids entertainer to kick the fun off! Indie Pop / Rock sensation Jed Parsons is about to unleash his playful children's alter-ego Jeff Parsnips, releasing his debut single ‘Tomato Tamati’ on October 20th and we have him set to gather giggles from all ages on New Years Eve!

Local band Big Spin will then get the party started! This 2000’s nostalgia/pop punk covers band will get you moving to the groove taking us back to the early 2000’s when these songs were massive – everyone can relate to a bit of Matchbox Twenty, blink-182 or Green Day!

Followed by our Headline Act Tom Knowles & Friends! This high octan covers band, will be playing all the hits you know and love! Bringing you an amazing visual and audio experience plus a solid repertoire to boot. With the recent release of Tom Knowles' single, 'My People', this talented all-ages artist is set to ignite the music scene with his soulful voice and fresh take on the the vibrant sounds of Aotearoa roots-reggae music. This bands high energy performance will get you on the dance floor and celebrating new year in style!

Along with kids playground area, kids stalls and of course all culminating with a fantastic Fireworks show over the water at midnight, by Fireworks Marlborough.

You won’t go hungry either, whether you choose to sample some of the delicious food from the extensive variety of food trucks or show your support at one of Picton’s fabulous bars, cafés or restaurants, we will be bringing in the New Year in style!
