Morning People Tāmaki Makaurau feat. Aroha + Jamie Newman!

After a string of sold-out events in Tāmaki Makaurau, on Friday 22nd December Morning People joyfully returns to Whammy Bar for an epic party across two rooms, featuring DJs Aroha and Morning People’s own Jamie Newman.

From hosting prime-time radio to setting dancefloors alight in clubs and at festivals, Melbourne-based AROHA's genre-blurring sets have earned her a cult following and fancy accolades to boot, including New Zealand's Best Club DJ. We’re lucky enough to have nabbed her while she’s home for summer where she’ll be road testing new original music and remixes.

Joining Aroha on DJ duties is Morning People’s own Jamie Newman. A veteran party starter, he's played in forests, on beaches, in clubs and at festivals including Splore, 121 Festival and the Burning Man. A DJ and music producer, alongside Morning People he pioneered No Lights No Lycra in New Zealand, and recently teamed up with Dick ‘Magik’ Johnson to create Midnight Club, a dance music experience from 7:00 pm to midnight for those who love music without late nights.

Tried and true, we’ll be lovingly serving dancefloor treats including complimentary Altezano Brothers coffee and All Good NZ bananas, and kombucha thanks to our brand-spanking new drinks partner Karma Drinks NZ.

Join us as we say haere ra to 2023 with an epic dance send-off.

Alcohol-free, dress to sweat
