Each month, Toitū and the Centre for Global Migrations, University of Otago, invite different speakers to highlight the stories of Otago’s wide and varying migrant history. From early Māori-European encounters to modern refugees, and everyone in between, this series will barely break the surface on our region’s rich history of migration.
This August, the second presentation in the series, we welcome Dr Ashraful Alam, Senior Lecturer in Planning and Urbanism at the University of Otago, to talk about migration to small towns in Otago.
2pm, Friday 25 August
