Lindisfarne College Students to Perform
Three bands mounting a variety of pieces, interspersed with items highlighting players in featured solos, will be on show at the Lindisfarne College’s performance at the Midday Concert on September 1st. The students of Lindisfarne College in Hastings are set to perform a variety of fantastic musical pieces including some stirring bagpipe standards from the Pipe Band.
The Lindisfarne Symphonic Band received a recent Silver Medal at the New Zealand Concert Band National Festival in Auckland, while the Jazz Band recently toured to the Far North for the Bay of Islands Jazz Festival.
Many Lindisfarne senior students are top youth musicians. Concert soloists include multi-talent Leo Guo (Hawkes Bay Young Musician of the Year), who plays trombone and piano, and multi-talented Isaac Chou a NZSO Youth Orchestra violinist, who also plays xylophone, violin, and piano.
The concert will be held at St Andrew's Anglican Church in Titiraupenga Street and costs $5 cash to enter. We hope to see you there. Anyone is welcome. Contact Tracey 0272409228 for further information.
