Tell me the good news

We’re drowning in negative information. From breaking news to social media, we're often bombarded with negative, anxiety-inducing content.

This is a major challenge for businesses, because it greatly affects staff wellbeing and morale. How do we choose what to read and watch?
How do we stay informed – without being overwhelmed? How do we process news that makes us distressed?

Jehan Casinader is an award-winning journalist, who has also openly shared his own struggle with depression and suicidality.

In this special event, Jehan will offer a unique "insider's view" on how the media works. He’ll explain how we can help our people to take back control – and find the good news.

About Jehan
Jehan Casinader is a journalist, keynote speaker and mental health advocate.

He was named “Broadcast Reporter of the Year” at the Voyager Media Awards in 2020, and “Reporter of the Year” at the New Zealand Television Awards in 2018.
In the aftermath of natural disasters, terror attacks, sporting triumphs and everything in between, Jehan has helped hundreds of people to share their vulnerable and deeply personal stories with the rest of the country.

Alongside his journalism work, Jehan works with a wide range of organisations to unleash the power of storytelling – in the areas of wellbeing, leadership and diversity.

He is the author of This Is Not How It Ends: How rewriting your story can save your life (HarperCollins).
