Lara has a dream and we are helping turn that into reality

This is a Fundraiser for Lara, a special teen that has spent much of her youth in hospital with 2 liver transplants. She sums up her love for dancing and the miracle of life itself in her own words (see below)

Lara's HipHop Crew 'Rangers' has been invited to the 2023 HipHop Dance Champs in Portugal in October - and we want to get her there, with your support

After a shared Community Pot Luck Kai and a Cacao Ceremony, -Loveray- performs a lush Sound Healing / Sound Journey / Ecstatic Dance

Matiu Te Huki, joins us on the Sat night fresh on his North Island 'Upward Spiral' Mid Winter Tour

Lara's Dads band 'The Level' and DJ Refraction are also performing

Check out the full event details further below and on the FB Event page where you can secure presale tickets and make donations

$30 doubles / Family Pass
Youth under 18 free (with parents)

What to expect:

5:30pm Doors open

-Loveray- perform a multi-instrumental Sound Healing Journey, tuning into the Earth's love harmonic frequency of 432Hz, with exotic instruments including crystal singing bowls, flutes, violins, Sitar, Tabla and tribal instruments. Lie down and allow the sound vibrations to carry you on a mystical journey to the outer cosmos and back, then rise up and move our bodies with an ecstatic dance vibe of tribal drums and funk rhythms

Matiu Te Huki is a renowned Love Activist on tour traveling New Zealand sharing his medicine in the form of his 'huge sounding' 1 man band and his Haka and Masculine / Feminine relationship healing workshops

Lara's Dad performs with his 3-piece band 'The Level'. Hamish comes from a musical family no stranger to chart topping hits

DJ Refraction keeps us happy on the dance floor until late, as always

These artists are donating their performances so money raised will help Lara achieve her dream

From Lara:
"My name is Lara Sutherland, I’m 16 years old.
I love animals, helping others, writing and dancing.
I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Biliary Atresia when I was a 6 week old baby and became incredibly ill.
I was blessed with a liver transplant at 7 months old which aided me to be able to live a fuller life.
Unfortunately, I became sick again in 2013 and spent most of my time in the hospital up until I was gifted another liver transplant in 2016, when I was 9.
Ever since then I have been able to experience things that normal kids and teenagers would be able to experience and even found a deep passion for dancing.
I have come a long way from where I began and am proud to announce that I and my hip hop crew have been chosen to participate in world championships for hip hop in Portugal.
I’d really would love to attend but need help raising funds to get there, if you can offer help I would be so grateful."

From Samantha, Laras Mum:
"Beyond proud of my girl and her team Rangers, who qualified for Hip Hop Unite World Champs in Portugal this October!!! This gorgeous girl has overcome two liver transplants, multiple surgeries, years of hospital and daily ongoing pain, thru hard work, determination and most of all her love of dance (both kpop and hip hop). She just loves to perform and compete and dancing is the one thing that has kept her going through some really tough years.
We will be planning our fundraising because I’m not sure how we will afford this so if anyone has fundraising ideas (for team and for Lara) please let me know, if anyone wants to sponsor Lara personally or with their business, and if anyone knows of contact/temp work I can mostly do at home (I’m a bookkeeper, small business office management, website updates & optimisation but can do lots more) please hit me up with ideas! Thanks"
