This fantastic new 4-week course that's full of fun and inspiration starts on Friday 28 July and runs for four weeks until Friday 18 August, 5.30pm - 8pm.
Over 4 weeks you'll experiment with many exciting techniques. You'll learn how to work with jeweller's hard wax to create beautiful textures in metal that can be used in multiple ways; you'll also learn techniques in soft modelling wax to create organic rings and more and expand your range of designs and skills with the wax you prefer using.
You'll learn to set raw precious stones into your wax designs to be cast-set in the metal of your choice and how to trim, clean and finish your casts, turning them into original jewellery ready to wear!
More advanced students can learn to set cabochon or faceted stones in one of our regular evening classes using fabrication techniques.
Included in the class fee are all your different types of waxes, sandpaper and courier costs.
Not included are the casting and metal costs which vary from student to student depending on what they want to make. Small castings can cost around $6.65 - $8 and metals are between $0.35 cents per gram for bronze - $3.42 per gram for silver.
