What is swing dancing?
Swing dance is more than just a dance – it’s an era. The term “swing dance” applies to the dances that developed during the 1920s to the 1940s. Some of the swing dance styles you may find around the place are the Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, Shag, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and the Jive. These dances grew alongside the big band jazz era of music and improvisation.

Do i need a partner?
No! Just bring yourself (and a friend for support if you need). Our classes are taught in a rotation where you change partners. This is an excellent way to get to know knew people and also the best way to improve your dancing.
