Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki Schools and Learning Team is pleased to host a special night for kaiako (teachers) to experience 'Light from Tate: 1700s to Now'.

In this evening event, kaiako can explore this spectacular exhibition of art, which brings together painting, photography, sculpture, immersive installations, drawing and moving image by renowned artists including JMW Turner, John Constable, Claude Monet, Yayoi Kusama, James Turrell, Tacita Dean and Olafur Eliasson.

Book now to enjoy an exclusive after-hours viewing of the exhibition, hear a talk by Senior Curator, International Art, Sophie Matthiesson, as well as refreshments and kōrero with kaiako and art educators. Experience how and why for over 200 artists around the world have explored the spiritual, scientific, mythological and religious significance of light.

This is a free event, but spaces are limited so booking is essential. Please note this event is aimed at teachers.
