iD Dunedin Fashion Show

The iD Dunedin Fashion Show is set to return to the iconic Dunedin Railway Station in 2023.

An edgy blend of high-profile designers from New Zealand and abroad, and innovative emerging fashion from around the globe, showcased on the canvas of New Zealand’s southern gothic city, Dunedin.

To be held on Friday 31 March and Saturday 1 April 2023 (sold out), the showcase of New Zealand’s top designers and the iD International Emerging Designer Awards will celebrate its 23rd year.

A heritage venue, the Dunedin Railway Station has been beloved by iD fans for many years and the event is delighted to host its live runway show once again at the iconic Dunedin site.

The 2023 iD Show will feature fashion royalty including NOM*D, Company of Strangers, Mild Red, Charmaine Reveley, Carlson, Kahuwai, Moochi and Liz Mitchell showcasing full Winter23 collections.

Presenting capsule collections from Central Otago, supported by the Russell Henderson Trust, are ReCreate, New Lands, and Margaret Wray. Additionally, Willmott-Dalton, su’mar, Jojo Ross, Vader, James Bush and Kate&Frances will present considered edits of their upcoming collections.

Alongside the established designers appearing in the first half of the iD Dunedin Fashion Show, five Otago Polytechnic graduates have been selected to present their collections. The Otago Polytechnic designers are George Park, Francesca Flynn, Finn Duffy, Russelle Ivan Tino, and Sidney North. They will each show three outfits from their 2022 graduate collections.

The second half of the iD Show will showcase the finalists in the iD International Emerging Designer Awards. Entries to the awards came from 33 schools in 14 countries and the 31 finalists represent a strong cross-section of those courses.
