Kevin Burgess, known affectionately as "Burge" by family and friends is an artist, surfer, teacher who has lived almost all his life enjoying and closely observing the sands of Tahunanui, the rocks of the Boulder Bank, and the movements of the water cycle from sea to sky - all against the backdrop of our western ranges. His work is neither abstract nor photo realist but his own wonderful moody subjective take on places us Nelsonians love and visit often. An exhibition of fine art that brings it all back home.
