Of Peruvian origin, the Cajón is a box shaped instrument that has become an almost indispensable instrument in the world of flamenco, as well as soft rock and pop music (where it can be used as an alternative to a full drum kit).
It is literally a box made of wood that you play with the palms of your hands or the tips of your fingers to get a different sound. The sound will also depend on where you play.
This fun group class is taught by Cuban percussionist, Yunior Maden.
A limited number of cajons are available for hire, please enquire in advance to check availability
