All are welcome to join in the Good Friday Pilgrimage - an event to commemorate Jesus Christ being forced to carry a cross to his crucifixion death at Calvary/Golgotha, outside Jerusalem. Christians commemorate this historical event annually on Good Friday.
Meet 12 noon at Fitzherbert Ave bridge (on the city side).
We will all be walking slowly from the Manawatū River, down Fitzherbert Ave, to The Square/Te Marae o Hine. A large cross will be carried at the front of the procession.
You may also like to bring a cross to wear, or to hold.
Wear comfortable footwear for walking.
