Church Untamed

Church Untamed is thrilled to invite sceptics, Bible-bashers and everyone in between to a celebration of the deepest and hardest mysteries of life.

The Festival of Doubt is our very unorthodox take on the Feast of St Thomas. "Doubting Thomas", one of the first followers of Jesus, is famous for two things: (1) refusing to believe his friends about the story of the first Easter, and (2) traveling all the way to India to tell that story to anyone who'd listen. What changed his mind? And are we willing to change ours?

In science or history, we call the things we don't understand yet "questions", and see them as the path to deeper knowledge. But when it comes to politics, faith, or other ideologies, we tend to call them "doubts", and they're often seen as scary or shameful. But what if they're all just questions?

We believe in authentic community, where no question is off the table, and that even when we don't know all the answers, the act of asking together brings us closer to the truth.

Join us for music, Q&A and real conversations. All welcome.

There are no stupid questions. If you have a something to ask, or a doubt to share, you can submit them anonymously for our panel Q&A at www.churchuntamed.nz
