Christmas is done. Boxing Day is done. Now here’s what to do in Palmy on 27 Dec! Round up your crew for one of our biggest events of the summer, catching the family-friendly fun of Dream11 Super Smash with the buzzing crowd at Fitzherbert Park!
Let the kids chase our crazy mascot The Stag around the park and wave their freebie flags, player face masks and other unique souvenir giveaways while you sit back and enjoy the big hits, fast action, ice-cold bevvies and fare from the gourmet food trucks, coffee cart and ice cream van.
This event has fast become a Palmy army favourite with bumper crowds on this date for the past two years. So avoid the last minute stressfest by getting your tickets nice and early now. And with all the tickets prices cheaper than at the gate on game day, now’s not just good…. it’s great!
Tickets are super affordable for all the family with free admission for under fives; $5 Junior tickets (5-15 years) when you buy online, and just $15 adults (our online price - visit cdcricket.flicket.co.nz for all your options).
But wait, there’s more. Coming along as a group? Check out the Family Pass and Mates Pack options that save you even more. Just remember to get your tickets ahead of game day online, because like we said, prices so go up at the gate and the very popular Mates Packs are only available online until the end of 26 December (ie the day before the games).
Your ticket gets you both T20s on the day! The Central Hinds — with WHITE FERNS and local Palmy-proud star Hannah Rowe one of the players to watch, play the Northern Brave gals from 12.30pm (gates open from 1.30pm), then from 4pm it’s the star-studded Central Stags with such well known stars as Doug Bracewell, Blair Tickner and Tom Bruce taking on the defending champions and arch rivals, the Northern Brave (the team where so many of the BLACKCAPS come from).
Take a tip from us and head along early to catch some of the Hinds game. With a crowd of 3000 people expected, the last thing you want is to be stuck in a queue so get in, catch the game and avoid that queuing scenario in one winning play! Plus, the earlier you arrive, the easier it is for parking.
These are all teams packed with BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS players so come along and experience the non-stop T20 fun at its best, enjoy the spot competitions plus there’s a Merch tent for you to score your replica kit, cool bucket hats, caps and funky souvenirs, most of which is available at the ground only. Great scores for the kids, too.
