David Evison is a regular performer at Folk Club events, and recently became a member of the Jamesons, a long-standing Christchurch band which plays every Tuesday night at the Bog Irish bar. He also regularly joins sessions at the Pegasus Bar and the Little Fiddle.
David plays guitar, mandolin and sings, and enjoys performing a variety of musical styles. David will be joined by Russell Gillies and Steven Stern, who will be very well known to Folk Club audiences because of their long-standing service to the club, and their musical talents. They also enjoy performing for the delightfully attentive Folk Club audience. See you there!
Following on from David's highly successful club night in 2022, where the compliments for his smooth and warm vocals radiated, and his song choices met much acclamation, this will be another night sure to be thoroughly enjoyable. Trust David's set to insure the wrap around feeling on being guided through some great songs sung delectably.
Entry: Members $15, General Admission $20 and $5 Students with ID
Doors open 7pm. Performance starts at 7.30pm, you will get a seat if you arrive close to 7pm.
Venue: Irish Society Hall, 29 Domain Terrace, Spreydon The hall is situated up the long driveway, directly next to Domain Park, and there is plenty of well-lit off-street parking.
Door sales cash only: Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake available during the break, also bar facilities for cold refreshments throughout the night, Eftpos available for purchases only, no cash-out facility. Folk Club and Irish Society members please remember to bring your membership card for licencing purposes. Non-members sign in at bar.
