AYO (formerly AJSO) is celebrating its 75th anniversary this Labour Weekend - if you have ever been involved as a player, parent, volunteer or enthusiastic supporter, we'd love you to join the celebrations.
You have come to the right place to buy your ticket for the events on Saturday 21 October - here's a summary of the events:
10am-6pm: C3 Church, 20 Cawley St, Ellerslie.
Come for the day or just for a part of it:
- From 10am - Social time for all, over Morning Tea. A coffee cart will be on site. Arrive if you are participating in the 'Big Play In", conducted by Michael McLellan: 11am-1pm rehearsal of Cesar Franck's Symphony No.1 in Dminor
- 1pm-2.30pm - Lunch (provided)
- 3pm-3.45pm - Big Play In PERFORMANCE to everyone attending
- 3.50pm – Speeches/Formalities
- 4pm-6pm - Refreshments - Last Chance to connect with old friends
Please note: it is essential to also please register with AYO (see link above).
While you are buying your ticket for Saturday, consider adding on
- a Souvenir Programme (if you aren't attending the Friday Pre-Concert event)
- a limited edition print (or a set!) of sketches made of AYO musicians in concert by famous NZ artist Michael Smither
- a donation (receipt will be issued for tax credit purposes)
