Bringing the taste of Argentine Tango performance and choreography, our dance masters Natallia Ramanchuk and John Flower bring their 20+ years experience from local to international level of dance to the humble city of Whangarei.
Meet the Instructors:
John Flower
Born from the Far North, John holds the New Zealand Stage Tango Champion Title, representing NZ 3x times in the Semi Finals of the prestigious World Stage Tango Championships. John specialises in South American dance; competing, teaching and performing in all styles of Salsa, Lambada and Argentine Tango.

Natallia Ramanchuk
Natallia began her dance life in NZ in 2003, training in the styles of Salsa and Argentine Tango at Dance Pasion.
She dances Argentine Tango with her dance partner John and has been performing tango together since 2019 at Napier Art Deco Festival and other major events & festivals in Auckland and beyond, assisting John with Tango workshops & classes. Natallia also professionally performs belly dance and Samba in other dance troupes. Since then Natallia has continued her training of Salsa, and other Latin styles, Brazillian Samba and Belly Dance over the years.
In this Workshop:
- 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm, we have a workshop for Tango beginners and learning the fundamentals,
open for anyone wanting a taste and introduction into this new experience
- 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm, continuing the workshop we will have Tango Improvers, Refining technique and in-depth teachings of Tango,
open for those who want to go the extra mile on improving the quality of their dance and understanding their style of performance
- 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm, lastly the Práctica, (the practice session), wanting to go over any fundamentals learned from the workshop or questions in-depth that you would like to work on with our instructors.
$20.00 - Beginners/Fundamentals
$30.00 - Improvers/Advanced
or $40.00 for both classes
(Prefer if advanced will also attend the fundamental class as this will help them for advanced class)
Dance Pasión Ltd is an Auckland based dance company, whose aim is to promote and foster Argentine Tango within New Zealand. Our emphasis is on retaining authentic movements & feeling for each dance style while still allowing the individual dance forms to evolve.
