1st Chinese Food and Culture Festival Coming Soon

The 1st "Chinese Food and Culture Festival", jointly organized by the Waitakere Chinese Association and the Women Association of New Zealand, and co organized by the Pacific Culture and Arts Development Association etc., will be held on May 21, 2023, Sunday from 09:00 to 20:00 in the Corban Estate Art Centre in the West Auckland.

Chinese cuisine has a long history and has its unique diet concept. The ingenious combination of various ingredients and seasonings has made it perfect in color, flavor, and gradually formed the "eight major cuisines" of Chinese cuisine, namely Sichuan cuisine, Hunan cuisine, Guangdong cuisine, Fujian cuisine, Jiangsu cuisine, Zhejiang cuisine, Anhui Cuisine, and Shandong cuisine. These cuisines have their own characteristics in material selection, cooking, and taste. This event is open to all ethnic communities in Auckland, with the aim of showcasing and experiencing Chinese cuisine and culture and strengthening the friendship between the Chinese and other communities.

The 1st Chinese Food and Culture Festival Coming primarily introduces the Chinese cuisine with emphasizing in snacks and fast food. It has wider ranges of activities, such as food tasting lucky draw, playground and cultural performances including Magic show, martial arts and boxing. It’s opening to all ethnic communities in Auckland for free.
