Celebrated Aotearoa poets join current Poet Laureate David Eggleton to explore the spirit of Oceania in our time of climate crises. Join us in person or online for an evening of poetry.

Explore the spirit of Oceania
Join current Poet Laureate David Eggleton with fellow poets Selina Tusitala Marsh, Kate Camp, Dinah Hawken and Gregory O'Brien for an evening of poetry.

Hear poems that explore the spirit of Oceania when many of the low-lying islands of Te Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa are gradually dispossessed by our changing climate.

The evening will mark the end of our exhibition Trouble in Paradise: Climate change in the Pacific, which illustrates many of the Pacific Islands in climate crises through 60 winning photographs from a competition run by the UK Government.

Enjoy the beautiful photos in our online exhibition created to accompany the Trouble in Paradise exhibition at the Library.
