The West Coast Gallery is honoured to exhibit the breath -taking indoor and outdoor pottery and ceramics created by Sang Sool Shim and Keum Sun Lee over the past 2 decades. The artworks reflects their collaborative creativity and represents a ceramic legacy since the passing of Sang Sool Shim in 2020.

They had many successful exhibitions in Korea, Austria, Croatia and NZ. They won the Portage awards in NZ for 11 years and won the prestigious Portage Premier Award in 2018 as well as international awards in Austria and Korea. They won the merit award at Sculpture on the Shore in 2014 & 2018. They also won 1st prize and Merit in the Greater Auckland Art Show. Working with both 10th century & 15th century techniques of Korean pottery (using intaglio and Sgraffito the 2 adapted these traditions & added colours to give a contemporary aspect to their creations. We are very fortunate to be able to sell their exquisite work at the West Coast Gallery.
