Theatre New Zealand encourages amateur theatres throughout the country to enter one of the twelve local One-Act TheatreFest competition in the country. From these the best-presented plays proceed to a Regional competition, hoping for a place in the final, to be heard in Wellington 17 and 18 September.
This year the Top of the South Local Competition is to be held in Havelock on 9th July talent from Tasman, Nelson, Havelock, Blenheim and Picton have been invited to attend so there will be a wide variety of entertainment. The groups can either use a published play or write their own.

Come for the day or just to watch a play. Refreshments available, courtesy Friends of Havelock School.
