The (rescheduled) 2021 Top of the South Film Festival presents the best locally produced films from drama to documentary, horror to comedy, thriller to romance, music videos to science fiction. Showcasing 48 films in 5 screenings at the Motueka State Cinema: Gold Reel, Silver Reel, Young Filmmakers, Aotearoa Reel and a Red Carpet event all day long.

The Festival is proud to celebrate its 7th year (postponed from October 2021) featuring regional film making. During its short history, the Film Festival has established itself as one of New Zealand's most unique young film festivals. The TS Film Festival focuses on film submissions from Nelson, Tasman, Marlborough and Kaikoura residents and gives these aspiring local filmmakers an opportunity to premiere their films on the big screen.
