After an award-winning year 'Toby and the Rest' quartet return to the Point Chev RSA for another night of jazz, old and new.
The quartet consists of Max Barrett (drums) Toby Barrett (Saxophone) Tyler Diprose (Bass) and Lucas Kewell (Piano/keys).
Last year between them they won five top awards at National Competitions in Tauranga, Wellington and Auckland. Lucas Kewell winning two awards for most outstanding pianist and also the top award for his original composition 'Poor America'.* The boys will be playing a selection of their own versions of pieces from the 1950s and several of their own compositions. This local, young band are full of fun and energy and are really pleased to be invited back to play on Tuesday 22nd March at the Point Chev.
