Celebrating NZ's music scene - discover & fall in love with 3 artists each month!

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Thursdays I’m In Love is back on October 27 at The Tuning Fork!

Throughout the evening you will enthralled with the infectious surf rock of Casper, the melodic, captivating and intense live show of Haven, and the gritty sounds of ‘Wellingtons Baddest Girl Band’ Sure Boy.

Thursdays I’m In Love provides the platform for Aotearoa's up-and-coming artists to showcase their talents and abilities and for our dedicated audience to fall in love with some amazing on-the-rise artists. Previous line-ups have included outstanding artists such as P.H.F, Wells*, Paige and many more!

Meet the artists

Casper: This Auckland & Welly based, 4-piece indie rock band blends surf-rock-based stylings with reggae to create a distinct sound that will grab a hold of you! Their catchy surf guitar inspired tunes will sweep listeners on a wave of rhythmic drums and infectious vocal hooks.

Haven: The Queenstown native, Wellington based indie rock darlings combine poignant storytelling song writing with an intense live show experience. Their vocals are inspired by Phoebe Bridgers, Stella Donnelly and Matt Healy of The 1975. After making their musical debut at the 2019 Smokefree Rock Quest and making the move Wellington, Haven released two singles andestablished themselves as a force in the Wellington music scene. They arrive in Tāmaki Makaurau off the back of the release of their third single Pictures of Her and are buzzing to bring their sound across the country!

Sure Boy: ‘Wellingtons Baddest Girl Band’ are a fresh, in your face, gritty pop rock act, their music features harmonised rants around subjects ranging from toxic relationships, unhealthy coping mechanisms and eating whole lemons. With subtle influences from art pop acts such as Kate Bush and Bjork, Sure Boy have developed their own signature sound that is becoming a regular feature around the capital. Sure Boy have started to make national waves as well after being announced on the 2022 Rhythm and Vines line-up.
