The Eastern are touring the country and are thrilled to bring their ‘raucous rolling, roof raising and spirit building show, filled with humour, heart and energy to burn’ to Taupo’s museum.
They’ve opened for Fleetwood Mac, Jimmy Barnes, and toured with Steve Earle, Old Crow Medicine Show and many many more over the years but treat every show and every attendee as something true and special, and look ever forward to earning it again in October.
Having toured NZ, Europe, Australia and beyond over and over again since their inception 16 years ago, The Eastern have cemented their place as one the country's most loved and mythic roots bands. Described by RNZ and the Herald as ‘National Treasures’ they were described by influential American country magazine ‘No Depression’ as ‘one of the best modern roots bands…from any country’.
